According to several reports,president Jonathan's campaign bus and hilux were set ablaze at Sulega, in Niger State today..This is coming after a statement by Buhari that whoever participates in election violence should be persecuted ... Jonathan's campaign has been met with pockets of violent acts in Kastina, Jos, Bauchi and now, Niger state..

The National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd.), says the Federal Government is planning to introduce a law that will ban and block all porn websites in the country. He stated this at the closing ceremony of a three-day workshop on use of social media organised for Islamic preachers, Imams and youths in Kaduna on Sunday. NAN reports that the workshop, which was organised by the national body of Izalatil Bid’a Wa’iqamatis Sunna (JIBWIS), aimed at correcting anomalies in the use of social media. Dasuki, who was represented by the Minister of Special Duties, Alhaji Kabiru Turaki, said: “Government is planning to ban and block websites that inculcate negative attitudes in our children but we need a law to support such move. “Because without a law, people can go to court and claim infringement on their rights.”

A Tanzanian politician had his head and genitals chopped off and then cooked after adultery claims on Friday, a local police chief told AFP. "Five people stormed Madirisha’s room wielding machetes, beheaded him, chopped off legs, hands and genitals. The assailants later cooked the chopped off body parts outside the house," police chief Dhahiri Kidavashari told the agency. According the newspaper, the victim, Richard Madirisha, 31, was a local political leader. Three men were detained by police as a result.

The people of the Middle Belt said they regretted voting for President Goodluck Jonathn during the 2011 general elections. They said that in spite of their support for the President, they had nothing to show for it. These four robbers died in an auto crash after men of the State Anti- Robbery Squad gave them a hot chase while trying to escape in Akure, Ondo State. The robbers had just finished tying up some travelers they kidnapped to a tree in a bush and were on their way to make withdrawals from their victim’s bank accounts using ATMs when the police got informed about their operation.
