GOOD NEWS!!! P/Harcourt Refinery Set To Begin Operation Very Soon

Nigerians this morning heaved sighs of relief and expressed happiness at the news that the Port Harcourt Refining Company Limited in Rivers State, southern Nigeria, would commence operation two weeks from now. The announcement was made Thursday by the Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC,  Dr. Joseph Dawha , in Abuja after a tour of some filling stations in the country’s capital city.

Remember  the war over acronym between African  Peoples  Congress and All Progressives Congress?  Remember how some politicians approached INEC to register another political party called African  Peoples  Congress, APC? I thought that was the beginning of the end of the All Progressives Congress. But the African  Peoples  Congress didn’t have the Lion of Bourdillon leading its charge, so it lost. After winning the acronym war, APC was faced with another  battle of  selecting interim executives, with the merging political parties (Action Congress of Nigeria, All Nigeria  Peoples  Party, the Congress for Progressive Change, and a  faction  of the All Progressive Grand Alliance) insisting on holding the “juicy” leadership positions.

A 30 year old Nigerian defender, David Faramola Oniya who plays for a Malaysian based club, T-Team died today June 13th on the field during a Friendly match between his club and another club.
