Fayemi’s aide accuses Ekiti Obas of collecting N150,000 bribe

Below is a press release from Governor Ayo Fayose's aides Ogun State born Maxwell Olusegun Adegbenro,  Special Assistant on Social Media to the immediate past governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi has accused traditional rulers in Ekiti State, who attended forum organised by Concerned Yoruba Elderst in Ile-Ife on Friday, of collecting N150, 000 bribe each to attend the event. Maxwell Adegbenro made this allegations on his Facebook page at about 11:30 am on Saturday.He berated the Obas, including the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adejugbe of travellingto Ile-Ife to meet with President Goodluck Jonathan, saying; "The Ekiti Obas can receive the President in their home state and not OAU at a function organised by a group in close association with PDP." Pope Francis Prays In Mosque with Muslim clerics

Pope Francis was alongside the Grand Mufti side to side today and clasped his hands for a two minute silent prayer in the17th-century Sultan Ahmet mosque, aiming to show respect for Islam and encourage stronger ties between the two faiths.“May God accept it,”Rahmi Yaran, the Grand Mufti of Istanbul told the pope at the end of the prayer. Emir Of Kano “Sanusi” Visits Scene Of Central Mosque Bomb Blast [See Photo]

The Emir of Kano, Muhammed Sanusi II who was out of Nigeria when the bomb blast at the Central Mosque in Kano occurred, arrived Nigeria today and went straight to the scene of the the attack to assess the situation.During his 20 minutes visit to the blast scene, the Emir said with the way the attacks were carried out, it showed it was well planned and had taken the perpetrators close to two months to plan it. “From all indications, they (attackers) have been planning this for at least two months.I have directed that the mosque be washed and cleaned and prayers should continue here.We will never be intimidated into abandoning our religion, which is the intention of the attackers” he said.
