Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has said he can sacrifice his life for the interest of Nigeria but will not do the same for any political party. He said this on Thursday during a visit to his Hilltop residence in Abeokuta by the presidential candidate of the National Conscience Party, Dr. Martins Onovo. He said since he left office, his pre-occupation had been seeing to the interest of the country, arguing that it would be foolish for anyone to say Nigeria did not belong to anybody. He said, “My first pre-occupation is what is best for Nigeria. Nigeria first, party second and any other thing, third. Nigeria first means I’ll not sacrifice anything for the interest of Nigeria and I can sacrifice my own life for the interest of Nigeria. “I can’t sacrifice my life for the interest of a party; I’ll sacrifice my life for the interest of Nigeria.”He frowned on the situation where everyone would keep quiet and watch things degenerate in the country. ...

Calabar, the Cross River State capital, has become Nigeria’s first digital city, following the completion of installation of its metropolitan dark fibre optic network infrastructure. This feat was accomplished through a partnership between the Cross River State Government and telecommunications giant, MTN. The infrastructure, which consists of 120 kilometres of 96 core fibre cable and open access ducts, spans the length and breadth of the capital city. Calabar has, therefore, become the most comprehensively wired city for voice, data and video telecommunications and various technology-driven services in the country. 27 year old Brazilian beauty Andressa Urach spent a month in intensive care after cosmetic gels rotted her muscles after she got surgery to enhance her butt. The model, who was 2nd runner Miss Bum Bum Brazil in 2012, said she feared she would lose her leg after the gel inserted into each of her upper thighs ‘rotted’ her muscles. Her wounds then got infected, causing septic shock. She reportedly had injections of two filers, hydrogel and PMMA, to make her butt larger but a few months after the cosmetics surgery, she knew something was wrong as she became uncomfortable. They said that the lagos state officials owed them three months salaries, they say that the government has told them they won’t stop them from going on strike. They Lagos state Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) doctors said that they are being owed over 3 months salary and have been accused by the Lagos state government of not going to work.
