Forty-nine-year-old Fred Obi was about to board an Ethiopian Air flight from Abuja to Tel Aviv, Israel with a strange cargo allegedly concealed in his stomach when the law caught up with him. He had ingested 1.594kg of cocaine. Tambuwal tells GEJ to resign

The embattled Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, on Wednesday, came down hard on President Goodluck Jonathan, asking him to resign from office for running “a system that does not have the interest of the countryat heart,” Premium Times newspaper reports. Addressing supporters of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ilorin, Kwara State, during the formal declaration of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed for a second term, the Speaker warned that should the president failed to do so, Nigerian voters should revolt against him at the February presidential poll. “I call on President Jonathan to resign from office because of all the mis-governance and the untold hardship Nigerians are presently passing through,” he said. Internet Gangster- First-Class University Graduate Jailed For N1.92m Internet Fraud

According to a report, A graduate of Lead City University, Ibadan,who passed out with 1st-class honors has been sentenced to one-year imprisonment after pleading guilty to a two-count charge of conspiracy and obtaining money under false pretences. Olakunle Akanni was sentenced yesterday Nov. 4th at the Ikeja High Court in Lagos for defrauding a 77 year-old American woman, Diana Huizenga, of over 12,000 dollars through an internet love scam.One of his accomplices, Adesina Akinsola,30, was also given a similar sentence by the judge but adjourned the sentencing oftheir co-accused, 30-year-old Dele Oshuntogun, till Nov. 17. There are reports that the convicts entered a plea bargain with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).Lawal-Akapo consequently sentenced them to one year imprisonment on each ofthe counts.
