Good Samaritan who was moving furniture saves toddler who fell from three-story building using box-spring mattress

A quick-thinking couple saved the life of their three-year-old neighbor as he plunged from a three-story building in California. Konrad and Jennifer Lightner were moving furniture on Sunday night when they saw the boy throwing toys out of the window of an apartment on N. Pass Avenue in Burbank. Fearing for the child's safety, the couple called 911 seconds before the boy crawled out of the window and became tangled in power lines. The couple threw down their box-spring mattress and Mr Lightner caught the falling boy, using the mattress to cushion the blow. 'It feels like I watched a TV show, like it didn't happen to me,' Mr Lightner told ABC 7. Mr Lightner described the incident as 'surreal'. 'It doesn’t seem like it really happened. You don’t really carry a box-spring with you everywhere, and it kind of worked out with us being there,' he told NBC. '(The boy) grabbed a telephone wire and started hanging from it. After 40 seconds, he started crying be...

Mori Gabriella, Lady Severely Beaten Up By Boyfriend And Left To Die, Has Recovered

Remember Mori Gabriella ? The young model that was beaten up by her boyfriend three weeks ago. Gabriella’s boyfriend had constantly questioned her about cheating and flirting. And on that fateful day in a fit of rage, he beat her up so bad, threw her out of his moving vehicle and left her to die. Well, I just checked up on Gabriella and boy, she has made a full recovery! Pictures are all after the cut plus her courageous words. You also recall that after Gabriella’s story went viral, some people came up with stories that Gabriella’s bf beat her up cos she gave him HIV. To the best of my knowledge, that story isn’t true. The allegations even made Gabriella delete the picture of her abuse from Instagram.

'Naive' teacher who kissed and cuddled with one of her 15-year-old students in her car is given probation

A high school English teacher in Las Vegas has been sentenced to five years' probation after having an inappropriate relationship with a teenage student. Amanda Brennan, who must register as a sex offender, has a chance to reduce her felony conviction to a misdemeanor if she stays out of trouble. The 25-year-old also faces one to four years in prison if she violates the sentence, which was handed down after she pleaded guilty in October to luring a child with intent to engage in sexual conduct. 'I'm sorry for the incident,' Brennan said in court Tuesday, as she stood with her defense lawyer, William Terry, before Senior Clark County District Court Judge James Brennan. The judge and the defendant are not related. Terry called his client 'naive' and said she knew she could never teach again. He added that she had found another job but wouldn't specify outside court what it was. Brennan and her mother also declined to comment about the sentence. Police had said...

US authorities arrest 14 men in child porn website bust involving more than 250 children

Fourteen men were charged with operating an online child exploitation network that investigators said preyed upon hundreds of boys across the United States and overseas, authorities announced Tuesday. Law enforcement officials said the arrests were part of a worrisome trend in which children are being enticed into posting sexually explicit images of themselves. Those images are then broadly shared online. In this case, authorities said users of an underground network posed online as girls to coerce boys into sharing with them child pornography images. 'These alleged perpetrators preyed upon the most innocent, most vulnerable members of our society with no regard to the immediate or lasting harm they caused to their victims and their families,' Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said. The investigation was led by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and U.S. Postal Inspection Service. The 250 victims were spread across 39 states and five other countries — Australia,...
