Must read: Appropriate EBO for your current situation

For every Ifa consultation, there is always an ebo to make and this ebo must be an embedded one which is known by a trained Babalawo.

Every problem faced by an individual has its own appropriate ebo elements to solve the problem and these elements are what the babalawo must be aware or be familiar with so as not to give what is meant to solve “Problem A” to “Problem B”. For example, if the ebo to be made is for protection against Iku (death), the appropriate ebo materials for Iku should be tabled before it. The question here is; how do we know the appropriate ebo elements for a particular problem? This is what led me to share the basics that are usually appropriate for the situations. See below:

EBO AGAINST IKU
·      Adiye (hen) or Akuko (rooster)
·      Aguntan (sheep) or Agbo (ram)
·      Epo pupa (palmoil)
·      Oti (palm wine, gin or hot liquor)
·      Obi Abata (kolanuts woth four lobes)
·      Orogbo (bitter kola)

EBO AGAINST IJA (FIGHT, QUARREL)
·      Obuko (male goat)/ Akuko (rooster). Both are optional, depends on which ifa chooses.
·      Liquor
·      Epo pupa (palm oil)
·      Obi Abata (kolanuts woth four lobes)
·      Orogbo (bitter kola)
Esu to be fed.

EBO AGAINST EJO (LITIGATION)
·      Ewure to Ifa

EBO FOR IRE
·      Be close to esu
·      Feed Esu

EBO TO HAVE CHILDREN (OMO)
·      Adiye (hen that has had chicks)
·      Ewure (goat) that has given birth
·      Eku
·      Eja
Additional medicine:
·      Osun (camwood)
·      Efun
·      Ailu herbs
Osun to be appeased to.

EBO FOR ISEGUN (VICTORY OVER ENEMY)
·      Eyele (pigeon) to Odu
·      Obuko (male goat) to Ogun
·      Obuko to Esu

EBO FOR PROSPERITY
·      Feed Ori (destiny) with
·      Ewe awede. Ori should be washed with awede’s omi ero, or with awede herb used as a sponge.

EBO FOR CALM, SERENE LIFE
·      Elede (pig) to Ifa
·      Ori (shea butter)
·      Igbin (snail)
·      Ewure (she-goat) to Ifa

However, it should be noted that the above are  the basics and Ifa can go further in recommending or advising the client to reinforce the elements with Ifa works or so.
