Nigerians To Attend Oyotunji Cultural Fiesta 2017 – Oba Oloyotunji
No fewer than 150,000 Nigerians are expected to attend the forthcoming Oyotunji Cultural Fiesta scheduled to hold in Sheldon, South Carolina, US.
Oba Egunjobi Adefunmi II, the Oloyotunji of Oyotunji African Village, Sheldon, South Carolina, USA made this known while addressing the pressmen on his arrival to Nigeria at Muritala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos on Thursday.
The date for the Oyotunji Cultural Fiesta would be announced soon.
The cultural fiesta is an annual event that would attract millions of guests from all over Nigeria, United State of America, the Africa region and the entire South American continent.
It will be a landmark cultural, economic and tourism networking event.
It will be an event that will focus on cultural integrations/ties and promotion/exchange of culture, tourism, education and investment between South Carolina, USA and Nigeria.
He noted that his royal home coming visit to his ancestral and spiritual home, Nigeria was to promote bilateral relations between Nigeria and South Carolina, US in the areas of trade and commerce, education, tourism, arts, culture and agriculture.
Oba Adefunmi who arrived Nigeria on a 30-day Royal Home Coming to his Royal ancestral and spiritual home, Nigeria was accompanied by his first patch of African American entourage and was received by a powerful welcome home delegate led by Rotimi Vaughan, which included Chief Oluwanbe Amodu, Chief Akintunde Ambode,
Chief (Mrs) Funke Ogunfuye amidst a large crowd turnout with rich Nigerian cultural performances and display.
The monarch expressed his warm delight in visiting his African ancestral and spiritual home, Nigeria and described his home coming trip to motherland Nigeria as historic.
The Oba is billed to pay visit to President Mohammadu Buhari and Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi (Ojaja II).
