Ebo rírú or Ìrúbo as we all know is the key to prayers, it is a must for every person that makes IFA divination to perform the Ebo as prescribed by the Babalawo so as the person desires to come through.


 Yes, that is one of the major, let me even say primary reason why we offer ebo.


Ebo Riru must be done before and other deity can be fed or any special preparation to ward off evil, to attract financial success and prosperity etc.

Fasina Falade in the informative book, Ifá (The key to its understanding) Stated four major reasons why Ebo Riru is offered. See it below.

When a client is positively in tune with his or her destiny, he/she is advised to offer ebo so that he/ she will continue to be in harmony with his/ her destiny.
There's a saying that goes thus: "what is good requires prayer and what is bad requires prayer also".

This is to say ebo riru is done when everything is going on well for you in order to maintain the good flow of goodness and to attack any obstacle that could impede the goodness.

When a client is positively in tune with his or her destiny and at the same time it is found that some external but negative forces are about to disrupt the client's harmony with his/her destiny. Irubo will be prescribed for the client so that he/she will overcome these negative influences in his/her life.

 When a client had hitherto been enjoying a perfect harmony with his/her life but he/she is found to be sliding away from this harmonious relationship with his or her destiny, an Irubo is prescribed to put a halt to this negative drift away form destiny.

Ebo riru must be done in order to restore normalcy when one destiny is tampered or about to be tampered with by adversaries. Ebo riru is done to be victorious and enjoy the life you are destined to live when coming on earth.

When a client had drifted away from his or her destiny and a halt had been put to this drift, there is still the need to return the client to the right and harmonious path of his/her destiny. An Irubo is therefore prescribed to ensure that this is done without delay.



 NB: Any material used for Ebo Riru cannot be taken by the client who offered the ebo for his/her destiny.
