Fayose meets with Hausa leaders, urges them to vote for GEJ

Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayo Fayose, on Tuesday met with leaders of the Hausa community in Ekiti State urging them to vote for President Goodluck Jonathan in the February 14 presidential election.

A statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Idowu Adelusi, in Ado-Ekiti, quoted Fayose as saying, “We want peace and stability in this
country.

The problem of insurgency is a
creation of the All Progressives Congress so as to destabilise Jonathan and discredit his
administration.

“How would Buhari, who on many occasions turned down offer to lead the committee on dialogue with Boko Haram, now say he has the
solution to Boko Haram activities in the country?

“Is that not a clear indication of APC being in the know of Boko Haram and other gunmen attacks in the North? It is very logical for the
North to wait till 2019 to present a candidate belonging to its first eleven who are credible, young, healthy and sound,” he said.

The statement stated that the leaders of the group, Alhaji Musa Kanga and Mrs Hadisa Garba, said the people were ready to vote for
the PDP and its candidate.

“We will vote for Jonathan because of you.

You are always with us, you have not
discriminated against us. As we voted for you in the June 2014 governorship election in Ekiti
State, we will vote for Jonathan.

“When a certain president removed you unjustly from office, Jonathan came to the stadium to raise up your hand. Therefore, for your sake, we will vote for Jonathan,” the
statement quoted the leaders as saying.
