See the worst players in BPL so far

1.GOALKEEPER | Simon Mignolet | The Belgian has struggled to offer a commanding presence in goal
and his season has been littered with errors.

Having lost his place to Brad Jones, Mignolet faces a fight to regain his starting berth at Liverpool.

2. RIGHT-BACK | Kyle Naughton |

The 26-year-old has made just five Premier League appearances this term but has managed to get sent off twice.

Naughton has found it difficult to find consistency and is now Spurs’ third-choice right-back behind Kyle Walker and Eric Dier, while DeAndre Yedlin’s arrival in January will limit his chances even further.

3. CENTRE-BACK | Mike Williamson |
The 31-year-old made a woeful start to the campaign as Newcastle United failed to secure a win in their opening seven fixtures. In the 14 Premier League games Williamson has featured, Newcastle have conceded 26 goals, and his chances of remaining a regular have taken a dent with Steven Taylor back fit.

4. CENTRE-BACK | Dejan Lovren |

The €25.5 million summer signing has been one of the culprits in Liverpool’s leaky defence. Two direct errors from the Croatian have led to goals, while another five errors have led to shots - a major slump from his performances for Southampton last term.

5. LEFT-BACK | Paul Konchesky |

The 33-year-old’s dip in form has coincided with Leicester’s poor run of results as Nigel Pearson’s side head into the New Year having shipped 31 goals in 19 games.

6. MIDFIELD | Mathieu Flamini |

The 30-year-old has been unable to offer sufficient protection in front of Arsenal’s defence and poor positioning has often left his team-mates exposed, while two errors from the Frenchman this term have directly led to goals.

7. MIDFIELD | Gaston Ramirez |

The Uruguayan has managed just four starts during his loan spell for Hull City and has rarely provided Steve Bruce’s midfield with any sort of guile and craft.

8. RIGHT WING | Charles N’Zogbia |

Aston Villa’s swift counterattack has been a potent weapon this season but the French winger, despite his pace, has looked cumbersome in possession and has created only nine chances in 15 games so far.

9. LEFT WING | Hatem Ben Arfa |

After just eight appearances, the Frenchman’s loan spell at Hull City has come to an abrupt end. Steve Bruce has been unhappy with Ben Arfa’s work ethic and the 27-year-old has already left England for Paris. A return to the Premier League looks highly unlikely.

10. STRIKER | Mario Balotelli |

The €20 million gamble hasn’t paid off for Brendan Rodgers. The Italian is yet to find the net since his return to the Premier League and his ineffective displays have left Liverpool short of firepower in attack.

11. STRIKER | Brown Ideye |

West Brom’s club-record €12.7 million signing has struggled to secure a regular first-team place, and has managed just one goal so far this term. Alan Irvine has even admitted the Nigerian has endured a goal drought during training.
