Exam fraud: Kwara education college suspends four workers

According to the Punch, Kwara State College of Education, llorin, on Wednesday suspended four members of its staff over alleged examination malpractices. The suspension order was contained in a statement by the Registrar of the College, Alhaji Abiodun Ibrahim, in llorin on Wednesday. According to the statement, the indicted workers were alleged to have issued fake examination clearance to students. They were also alleged to have altered examination scores and results for some students. According to the statement, the suspended staff members who are from the Registry and Bursary Departments are to remain at home for a year without pay. The suspended workers, according to the statement, are Messrs Shehu-AbdulWaheed Kayode, Ayinde-Oba Alanamu, Hambali Adebayo and Ahmed-Bello Lukman. The statement said the action was aimed at sanitising the college and protecting its integrity. The statement warned other members of staff and the entire college community to desist from any form of misconduct that could tarnish the image of the institution.
