Members of the violent Islamic sect, Boko Haram, have instituted the Shara law in Mubi, Adamawa State, captured by the insurgents last week. And according to Punch, advised all Christians in the Mubi Local Government Area to relocate to other areas except they were prepared to be islamised or be killed. The insurgents also amputated the hands of 10 residents said to have been found guilty of sundry offences, including looting of property of fleeing residents. Sources in Mubi town said they saw the terrorists parading 10 persons whose hands were said to have been amputated. The victims were said to have been amputated in the presence of residents the insurgents asked to converge to witness the enforcement of Sharia law. 19-year-old Obitana Onyia who lives in the UK has been declaredwanted by UK’s Metropolitan Police for attempted murder on an unidentified man on Sunday November 2nd. The man was stabbed repeatedly at Creek Road and is currently in critical condition in a hospital. The Met police say Onyia is needed for questioning regarding the stabbing incident and asked the public not to approach him but call police at Greenwich when they come in contact with the teenager..The police described Onyia black, 6ft tall with a tattoo of a cross on his right arm and released this photo above of him. According to Dailytrust , Nigeria needs an annual investment of $14billion to boost infrastructure in the country, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Coordinating Minister for the Economy and Minister of Finance has said. The minister said this at the Public Private Partnership (PPP) stakeholders’ workshop organized by the African Development Bank (AfDB), in Abuja,on Monday. “To fund infrastructure, Nigeria needs about $14 billion every year, out of which$10 billion should come from the federal level. And this estimate is not comprehensive because it is likely to be higher when the total financial outlay needed to fund the Infrastructure Master plan is calculated,” said okonjo-iweala. “Currently the country’s spending on infrastructure is about $6 billion, so there is a big gap that needs to be filled. Dangote Cement Plc has announced a 41% reduction in the prices of cement, with the different grades now selling for between N1,000 and N1,150, exclusive of Value Added Tax. Now, 50kg of the 32.5 cement grade sells for N1,000, while the higher 42.5 grade will go for N1,150 per bag instead of the current N1,700 that both grades were sold for. The new price structure was announced by the Group MD, Dangote Cement, Mr. Devakumar Edwin, who said “We recognise the need for a dramatic increase inthe response to the hugeinfrastructure and housing deficit in the country, and one of the ways of addressing the issue is bringing the price of building materials down to much more affordable levels, especially cement, whichis within our own control as part of our contribution to the transformation agenda ofthe President Goodluck Jonathan administration and the attainment of keymilestones in the Millennium Development Goals.” Source- music212
