Also, another high court in Asaba has sentenced a commercial motorcyclist otherwise known as okada rider, one Ndubuisi Obiora, 26 years to death by hanging for robbery. A policeman attached to the Ogun State Police Command, Corporal Sunkanmi Ogunbiyi, went on the rampage on Thursday in Abeokuta, killing six people, including his wife and a two-year-old child. Ogunbiyi, who worked at the State Criminal Investigation Department, was said to be having matrimonial problems with his wife Oluwatosin Faremi, who was also a police corporal attached to Obantoko Police Division, Abeokuta. Residents of the area said the policeman had been accusing his wife of infidelity. It was learnt that Oluwatosin had packed out of her matrimonial home along with the couple’s two children to the apartment of their landlady after another round of such accusation. According to the Punch, Kwara State College of Education, llorin, on Wednesday suspended four members of its staff over alleged examination malpractices. The suspension order was contained in a statement by the Registrar of the College, Alhaji Abiodun Ibrahim, in llorin on Wednesday. According to the statement, the indicted workers were alleged to have issued fake examination clearance to students. They were also alleged to have altered examination scores and results for some students. According to the statement, the suspended staff members who are from the Registry and Bursary Departments are to remain at home for a year without pay. The suspended workers, according to the statement, are Messrs Shehu-AbdulWaheed Kayode, Ayinde-Oba Alanamu, Hambali Adebayo and Ahmed-Bello Lukman. An Arkansas mother who was arrested in a restaurant for breastfeeding her baby after having two beers has defended her decision to have a drink. Mother-of-three Tasha Adams had been at a Conway restaurant with her family for dinner in November when an off-duty waitress reported her to police for consuming alcohol. Adams, 28, was arrested for child endangerment and taken to jail, and her six-month-old baby Ana was left in the care of her family. Charges against Adams were dropped last week because there wasn't enough evidence to prove she had been too drunk to care for her child. But the 28-year-old told ABC's 20/20she wishes the police had given her a breathalyzer test at the restaurant to prove she hadn't endangered her baby.
