According to the newly released dress of code of Lagos State University, the management has finally banned wearing of Hijab in the school premises. The law that bans burka is the 9th instruction of the 18 laws by the school. Amongst the 18 new laws, personally, I am not in support of the ban on the use off ace caps, tattooing and the ban on the use shorts & knickers. With this new development, it is obvious that the management of Lagos State University is taking fashion away from student which ought not to be. Boko Haram leader Shekau has released another video yesterday. This time the video was talking about the forthcoming elections where he prayed that the elections wouldn’t hold. He even says even if they dead, he prays Allah won’t let it hold. Yesterday’s video wasn’t released on YouTube but on twitter,as it is said that the insurgents are planning new media tricks. “This election will not be held even if we are dead. Even if we are not alive Allah will never allow you to do it,”Shekau said in the newly released video.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has explained why his PDP membership card was publicly destroyed on Monday February 16th. He kinda blamed it on the man who tore it… In a telephone interview with Premium Times, Chief Obasanjo said party members in his ward led by the ward Chairman, Mr Surajudeen Olajundoye paid him a visit that Monday to express their concern over his inactivity in the party, saying that his inaction has made them uncertain of their own political future in PDP. They also told him that they heard that the state party leadership was in the process of expelling him from the party. “They were concerned that I had only one leg in the party, and worried that since I’m their leader in the ward, they need to hear from me.“You are our leader and it is you we are following. A police officer was shot dead and a staff of Channels TV stabbed during the clash that broke out at the APC Governorship rally in Rivers state earlier today. In a chat with newsmen, the state APC Governorship candidate, Dakuku Peterside said five policemen were shot at the rally“Five police officers were shot. One of them is dead and four are lying in critical condition at this hospital.” he said Channels TV staff who was stabbed is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital. Two suicide bombers, riding on Keke Napep (tricycle) who canceled Improvised Explosive Devices on their body, rammed into a military checkpoints along Miringa- Biu road killing 14 people including two members of Civilian JTF and injuring several others mostly hawkers and men of Civilian JTF. Senator Ali Ndume has said. Sources also said the incident which took place at about 1pm on Tuesday left no fewer than 14 people mostly hawkers of groundnuts, garden eggs among others.
