10 things you must never do as an Ogunda-Bede Initiate



1. You must never abandon Ifa for any other religious faith: This is because Ifa has been giving you support and elevation on so many occasions and Ifa believes that you should follow the religion that has supported you to overcome your obstacles and to gain success.

 

2. You must never tell lies: Ogunda bede abhors lies and as advises all its initiates never to tell lies. In the same vein, you must never move with those who are dishonest and those who cheat others. Failure to abide by this may bring forth unconsummated fortune.

 

3. You must never pay good with evil: In other words, Ogunda bede children must never be an ingrate. Paying good with evil may lead to your  downfall, and in most cases, slow and painful disaster.

 

4. You must never steal: Deter yourself from any act of stealing as Ogunda-bede frowns upon it. Indulging in this kind of anti-social act may incur the wrath of the divinities.

 

5. You must never conspire against anyone: Conspiring against anyone may also incur the wrath of the deities on you.

 

6. You must never joke with health matters: Ogunda Bede advises its children never to treat health affairs with levity. There is the need for you to always take very good care of your health.  Doing so will make you live a relatively healthy life that will ensure that you are able to achieve all your heart desires.

 

7. You must never cheat on your spouse – Cheating on your spouse nor play tricks on each other’s intelligence is never accepted by Ogunda bede. This Odu says that you must maintain your fidelity and ensure that you do not play any double game in your relationship. Failure to abide by this may lead to shame and humiliation.

 

8. You must never lose faith in Olodumare/Ifa: Ogunda bede children should always put their hopes and faith in Olodumare and Ifa. Having the mindset that, there is nothing Olodumare and Ifa cannot do serves as a means of motivation never to give up.

 

9. You must never use red dresses – Putting on red dresses as an Ogunda bede child  may invite unconsummated fortune.

 

10. You must never kill, eat or use any part of monkey family – This is to avoid the wrath of the ancestors
